The City of North Las Vegas Education Advisory Board

In February of 2022, Executive VP Crystal Hirschi was sworn in as the Vice Chair for the city of North Las Vegas’s first education advisory committee. The purpose of the Education Advisory Committee is to serve in an advisory capacity to the North Las Vegas City Council and to assist in accomplishing the transformational educational goals of the City Council.  

The first term brought many opportunities for the Hirschi team to serve and support the education system. When approached about safety concerns regarding fencing slates, the Hirschi team recognized the importance and need to keep students safe from strangers and bystanders. Hirschi donated and installed green slates at Fay Herron Elementary School. A few months later, installed the slates at Mcall Elementary School. Through this partnership, Hirschi has sponsored shirts to promote unity between students and staff and provided appreciation luncheons and breakfasts to support the schools in North Las Vegas. 

In November 2023, Executive VP Crystal Hirschi was sworn in for a second term as committee chairwoman.

Junior Achievements

Junior Achievement USA is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and financial choices. 

Junior Achievement’s programs, in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy, ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.

Hirschi leadership was introduced to Junior Achievements in 2022. As such, Hirschi has taught at various schools about the importance of financial literacy. Hirschi has been so impressed with the program that they will have a storefront in the first Junior Achievement Center in southern Nevada, opening in the spring of 2024.

Southern Nevada Trades High School

Southern Nevada Trades High School is an independent, free public charter school open to all students. This school grew from a partnership between local industry and educators with a desire to provide Las Vegas high school students with a quality education that prepares them for both college and career. 

Hirschi is an industry partner and donor for SNTHS. We know the importance of creating opportunities through employment, internship, and education. We know the value of supporting our students in creating a pathway for a bright and successful future. SNTHS has created this pathway, and we are grateful for the partnership in cultivating the next generation of industry members.
